Frequently asked questions
Why does my certificate work in some browsers but not others?
This is often caused by a missing intermediate certificate. Some browsers can fetch or cache missing intermediates and others can’t, so the server should always send the full chain.
Does a certificate for example.com cover www.example.com?
Only if www.example.com is listed in the certificate’s Subject Alternative Names, either explicitly or through a matching wildcard such as *.example.com.
